The members and the volunteers of Hope4 Humanity Outreach went to give Orphans of Saint Glory orphanage located at malingo Buea-CMR food items and other basic needs. They included; bags of rice, bags of spaghetti, cartoon of tomatoes, cartoon of magi, liters of groundnut oil, liters of red oil, Garri, cartoon of soaps, rolls of toilet tissues, rolls of sanitary pads, drinking buckets, bathing buckets.
As part of our visit to St Glory Orphanage we spoke to many children in the hope of finding out more about the lives of orphans in Buea. We asked the usual questions about their favorite subjects, their hobbies and what they want to be when they grow up. The answers were typical of any child, ‘we love football’, ‘we want to be doctors, engineer, and lawyer’ and ‘we like to play with our friends’.
Every child has the right to a safe, stable, and permanent home. And yet millions of children remain in orphanages, are removed from their birth family, or are moved too often between foster homes. It’s time to change this. There are lots of ways to partner with us. All you have to do is choose the way that works best for you. Whether you are rich in time, connections, or cash, everyone can make a difference.
